Cake in a jar recipes are always a hit near the holiday. They make the cutest gift, for anyone that loves a little sweetness in their lives! I personally like to make them at home because they are perfectly portioned. Having an entire cake on my counter would not be a good idea. However, having a small jar of sugary goodness helps me limit the amount I eat at one time.

Cake in a Jar Recipe:
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake
6 8 oz Mason Jars
8 oz Cream Cheese
12 oz Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Lemon juice
1/2 cup Sugar
2 cups crushed Graham Crackers
3 tbsp butter
24-30 miniature Reese’s, cut in half
-Beat together cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla and sugar until creamy.
-In a large bowl whip the heavy cream until peaks form.
-Fold 2/3 of whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.
-Transfer to the corner a large zippered bag and cut off corner for piping into jars.
-Melt butter and add to crushed graham crackers.
-Place a layer of crushed graham crackers in the bottom of each jar and tamp down.
-Pipe in cheesecake mixture into each jar.
-Distribute 7 of the half Reese’s into the cheesecake mixture
-Gently tap jar to get mixture to settle and level.
-Wipe down any streaks above the level of the mixture with damp paper towel.
-Transfer the remaining whipped cream to the corner a large zippered bag and cut off corner for piping into jars.
-Pipe a layer of whipped cream into each jar.
-Insert a half Reese’s into the whipped cream as a garnish.
