With Easter comes lots of holiday-themed goodies. Nestle brings out several of these with their Wonka Laffy Taffy Jelly beans and Nestlé Crunch and Butterfinger NestEggs. They also offer “Hard2Find” Easter eggs – plastic eggs that resemble bark, rocks, and grass. Each egg is pre-filled with candy too! These would be great for older children.
When Nestle sent me a box of their treats, I immediately began to think about what I could do with them in the kitchen. I wanted to create something rather than eating all of the candies straight from their bags – even though they are VERY good that way. Luckily, I was able to find a recipe on Meals.com that uses jelly beans, perfect for the new Laffy Taffy ones I had on hand.
If you’ve read previous recipes on Southern Girl Ramblings, you know I go for quick and easy ideas, and my Easter recipe is no exception! There are only three ingredients needed! And after a few minutes of prep, the bark will be ready to eat in about 20 minutes!
- 2 cups (12 ounce bag) Nestle Toll House White Morsels
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1/2 cup Wonka Laffy Taffy jelly beans, divided
- Combine white morsels and butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave at medium heat for 1 minute. Stir. Depending on your microwave, it may take an additional 15 seconds for morsels to be completely melted.
- Add 1/4 cup of jelly beans.
- Spread the bark mixture onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Bark should be about 1/4 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the other 1/4 cup of jelly beans onto the bark.
- Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until bark is firm.
- Break into pieces and enjoy!
