For this post, I partnered with Homewood Suites by Hilton to try out the PeachDish hotel delivery meal kits. All opinions are mine!
When you are traveling, do you ever get tired of eating out? Don’t you wish you could just stay in and cook up a fresh, home cooked meal for yourself or your family? Well, Homewood Suites by Hilton is offering just that with their new partnership with PeachDish.
PeachDish may be familiar as the meal delivery kit that you can have brought right to your door. Now, you can have it delivered to your hotel room instead! Through the “Home Cooked Meals” program, Homewood Suites is offering its guests discounted access to PeachDish – approximately 20% off – to have fresh, pre-portioned ingredients right to their hotel room.
James and I recently got to try out the PeachDish service with a complimentary stay at Homewood Suites. A week before your stay (at least the Sunday before), you have to log onto a special webpage to review the menu and place your order. Make sure you order the “Starter Kit” too!
When we arrived at the hotel, the refrigerated PeachDish box was in the hotel room fridge, filled with fresh ingredients for us to cook. We had two meals to make that evening: Chicken Breast, Snow Pea, and Walnut Salad and the Spicy Puttanesca Orecchiette with Olives & Pecorino.
Everything was properly labeled so we knew what ingredients with each meal. Hungry, James and I got started on the salad. There was quite a bit of chopping and prep involved, but the end result was worth it! The fresh salad dressing added a nice flavor to the peas and chicken too!
While we munched on the salad, we cooked the pasta dish. One great thing about ordering a PeachDish meal at Homewood Suites by Hilton is that you can customize the meal for yourself! We don’t care for olives, so we easily left them out of the recipe rather than having to pick them out later.
The pasta and sauce didn’t take as long as the salad. But it was just as tasty! It was very filling, and we were both satisfied after eating the two courses.
Both dishes offered more than enough for the two of us. I think next time, we would opt for one meal so the prep/cooking times would be faster. But, it was a great alternative to eating out, for sure! Once our meal was over, we enjoyed the spacious room at the Homewood Suites by Hilton.
Being able to stay in for the evening was a relaxing change in Atlanta. Normally, we are so on the go when in the city, we go home exhausted. This time, however, I got a full night’s sleep and was able to go home refreshed!
