Losing weight on a budget doesn’t have to be difficult!
Losing weight and getting healthy doesn’t have to be an expensive process. I used to be under the impression that I needed an expensive gym membership and grocery bill in order to be healthy. However, there are ways that you can curb the costs of better eating…and you can definitely get fit on a budget.
A Meal Plan Before Shopping
For us, grocery shopping ALWAYS costs more when we don’t have a solid plan of what to buy. Even with just a list, you are still bound to purchase things you don’t really need or that aren’t beneficial for weight loss. Instead, sit down and create the dinners you want to serve throughout the week. Then, create your shopping list around these. The internet is home to many creative meals that are healthy and affordable, so get to searching!

No More Restaurant Runs
This will be a definitely plus for your weight loss as well as your wallet. Though many restaurants are making their menus a bit healthier, it still won’t beat making a meal at home. Plus, some charge more for the healthier alternatives, which could stretch your budget if you eat out often.
Get to Clippin’
Coupons are a great way to help lose weight on a budget. It’s very possible to find coupons that will allow you to purchase healthy foods that you may not normally buy otherwise. Though I don’t do it as much as I should, I have saved lots of money using coupons for meats, dairy and sometimes even produce!
Get Your Exercise on at Home
There are many ways you can work out in your own home that will allow you to save money on the gym. We currently have a gym membership, but it truly isn’t worth the price we pay. I much prefer breaking out a $10 DVD or, better yet, jumping in front of the Wii and working out with Just Dance. If you want a completely free exercise, lace up your sneakers and hit the road for a nice walk or jog.
