Visiting a pumpkin farm in the fall is a family tradition we started before our kids were born. It’s something I’ve done since I was a child, and James and I have been to some nearby ones with family.
Now, we take our boys and they always have a blast. We have visited a few different ones in the North Georgia area, and have found them all enjoyable if you want a relaxing day in the fresh air.
The Best Pumpkin Farms in North Georgia

Dawsonville, GA 30534
My family has been going to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm during the fall for years. We love the atmosphere, as it’s a great place to get seasonal photos of the kids or the entire family. Admission and parking are free, but the hayride around the farm costs $5. The general store is stocked with lots of fresh vegetables and yummy treats too!
1514 Reeves Station Rd
A newer farm in the area, Copper Creek has lots of offer families in the Fall. It is open on Friday and Saturday in October. They feature a hayride, corn maze, gem mining, jumping pillow, pumpkin patch, and more. There are also haunted mazes and flashlight mazes for Halloween on certain nights.
At Copper Creek, you can purchase a $15 “Buy the Farm” pass to enjoy all the activities, or a general admission pass for $12, which gets you in the farm and a few of the activities. I recommend the $15 pass to do it all.
The food at Copper Creek is amazing too! They have Frito pies, burgers, hot dogs, chili, pizza, and BBQ to fill your belly. For your sweet tooth, be sure to try their banana split, homemade ice cream, chocolate dipped cheesecake, or a milkshake. Wash it all down with some fresh-squeezed lemonade!
