I don’t know about you but we love chocolate dipped marshmallows around here. We make them often “just because” but this holiday season, I plan to make some that were more festive. I decided to do a test run to see how they’d turn out. I switched up my usual dipped marshmallow recipe by adding white chocolate as well as red and green sprinkles to give them a Christmas-y flare!
White Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows
These adorable chocolate dipped marshmallows are super easy to make, and are great for the dessert table at Christmas!
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- Lollipop sticks
Marshmallows are easiest to work with if frozen, so you can stick the lollipop sticks in the marshmallows, and place them in the freezer for about an hour. Or, if you’re in a hurry, just use them straight out of the bag.
Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe container. Stir every 20 seconds or so, careful not to overcook them. If you do overcook the chocolate chips, add a little Crisco and stir vigorously until all melted.
Dip marshmallows in the melted chocolate, and set on a plate or wax paper. Cover in sprinkles immediately. If you wait to cover with sprinkles, the chocolate will harden and the sprinkles will not stick.
There are many variations you could do with these! Use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or even red or green chocolate. Drizzle with white chocolate and then add sprinkles. If you bag these up individually, they make great party favors!
